What makes a Kimple hull different?

What matters is not the name but what the boat is made of and how: Kimple uses 5052-H34 marine aluminium and fully welded, not riveted hulls. Each hull is made of four separate profiled sheets welded together through a special profile that gives the boat rigidity and exceptional handling.

Why aluminium rather than PVC or plastic?

An aluminium boat is an investment for decades. Kimple hulls are welded from marine-grade 5052-H34 alloy that does not rust, crack in frost or fear rocks in shallow rivers. Unlike an inflatable PVC boat it needs no drying or UV protection, and unlike a polyethylene boat of the same length it weighs about half as much – the Trout 370 is only 59 kg, so two people can lift it onto a car roof.

All Kimple boats have flotation foam in the seats, so they stay afloat even when swamped. Each boat carries a hull identification plate and a CE information plate, and an EU declaration of conformity is issued for every boat.

Two series – two fishing philosophies

When choosing an aluminium boat, one question matters most: do you value mobility or stability when standing?

• Trout series (Trout 370, Trout 440) – light V-hull boats that ride waves softly, plane well with smaller motors and travel on a roof rack or a light trailer. Ideal for one or two anglers who fish different waters every weekend.
• Hunter series (Hunter 350W, Hunter 370, Hunter 395, Hunter 420, Hunter 460) – extra-wide, practically flat-bottom platforms. The bottom is only a few centimetres narrower than the gunwales, so two people can confidently fish standing at one side. The best choice for lure anglers and for those who sail with children.

Outfitting – the boat is handed over ready to fish

A standard boat is only the beginning. As the official dealer we are authorised to modify Kimple hulls while keeping the manufacturer's buoyancy and engineering requirements, so your boat does not lose its 1 (one) year manufacturer warranty with our equipment. If the boat is outfitted or modified elsewhere, the warranty is void. The most common orders:

• Petrol or electric motor installation, console with a windscreen, steering column and remote control;
• Front casting deck with marine carpet, sealed storage boxes, livewell;
• Fish-finder and GPS-anchor (electric motor) mounting plate, wiring with a LiFePO4 battery;
• Rod holders, mooring and navigation lights, covers.

Warranty, delivery and instalments

Warranty. We provide the 1 (one) year manufacturer warranty on the hull and fulfil every obligation locally – in Kaunas or Mažeikiai district. If the boat is outfitted or modified elsewhere, the manufacturer warranty is void. No correspondence with a foreign factory: we handle everything.

Delivery. We deliver boats free across Lithuania when bought together with a trailer; Latvia and Estonia by agreement. You can also collect the boat yourself – when you visit we will show it in person and discuss outfitting options, equipment and prices.

Instalments. The boat and its equipment can be bought in instalments through our leasing partners – call us and we will send an offer within a day. Standard payment is by bank transfer after the order is confirmed by email.

Which motor does an aluminium boat need?

Every aluminium boat has a maximum motor power set by the manufacturer – it is stated in the declaration of conformity and on the hull plate. In practice: the Trout 370 and Hunter 350W/370 run well with a 6–10 HP petrol outboard or the Fuber Global 1.5 electric motor; the Trout 440 and Hunter 395 plane with 15–20 HP; the Hunter 420 with 25 HP, and the big Hunter 460 is excellent with 30–50 HP and in coastal conditions. On lakes where petrol engines are banned choose electric boat motors – we keep Fuber and Aiqidi models in stock.
