Matching electric motor power to boat size
Rule of thumb – 1 kW electric equals roughly 2–3 HP petrol, because an electric motor delivers full torque instantly. Fuber Global 1.5 (1.5 kW, ~5 HP) comfortably drives boats up to 5 m – ideal for the Trout 370, Hunter 350W or Hunter 370. Fuber Global 3.0 (3 kW, ~7 HP) suits boats up to 7 m and faster crossings with the Trout 440 or Hunter 395. Aiqidi E7HS (5.1 kW) is a water-cooled motor in a Yamaha housing for larger Hunter boats.
The battery question
Fuber Global 1.5 has an integrated 2 kWh battery – no cables, charge it at home; about 10 h at slow speed. Fuber 3.0 and Aiqidi E7HS use an external battery: we recommend LiFePO4 24 V 80 Ah or 12 V 120 Ah with Bluetooth monitoring and a waterproof charger. LiFePO4 weighs half as much as lead-acid and lasts 3,000+ cycles.

How do kW compare to HP?
1 kW = 1.36 HP on paper, but electric motors deliver full torque instantly, so 1 kW ≈ 2–3 HP petrol: Fuber 1.5 ≈ 5 HP, Fuber 3.0 ≈ 7 HP.
Which motor for which Kimple?
Trout 370, Hunter 350W/370 – Fuber 1.5; Trout 440, Hunter 395 – Fuber 3.0 or Aiqidi E7HS; Hunter 420/460 – electric as auxiliary only.
Registration?
No – all our electric motors are far below the 19 kW limit.
Run time?
Fuber 1.5: ~10 h slow, 1–1.5 h full speed. Fuber 3.0 and Aiqidi: depends on battery (2 kWh ≈ 1 h full speed).
Which battery?
LiFePO4 24 V 80 Ah (≈2 kWh, 15 kg) is the best ratio; 12 V 120 Ah for 12 V systems.
Salt water?
Yes, sealed housings; rinse after use.
Charging on board?
Yes, we fit a waterproof charger with a socket; 4–6 h from 230 V.
Is it quiet?
Yes – only the propeller is audible.
Warranty?
Fuber 3 years, Aiqidi 2 years; service in Lithuania.
Do you install?
